A man in his 80s has died in a car crash in Dublin 18.
The single vehicle collision happened on Corbawn Lane in Shankhill at 1.30pm this afternoon.
Gardai say the male driver who was the only occupant of the car was critically injured, and was taken to St Vincents Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The road is closed for a forensic exam and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward, in particular any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and may have camera footage, including dash-cam.
