A man has died following a fire at an apartment off Benburb Street.
Firefighters rescued him from the building at around 9pm on New Year's Day.
Advanced Life Support was provided at the scene, however, the man was later pronounced dead in the Mater Hospital.
Gardai say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Dublin Fire Brigade says its thoughts are "with the man's family, friends and neighbours at this difficult time".
