A man who was attacked in Dublin's north inner city earlier this month has died.
The man in his 40s was assaulted at Seville Place in the early hours of Wednesday, September 2nd.
He had received serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Mater Hospital where he was pronounced dead yesterday morning.
His body was brought to the City Morgue where a post-mortem was carried out yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí say the results are not being released for operational reasons.
No arrests have been made but Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry.
They are renewing their appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this attack to come forward along with any road users with camera footage.
