A man has been arrested in west Dublin in connection with ongoing investigations into people smuggling into the state.
Members of the Garda National Immigration Bureau carried out the search yesterday.
During the course of the operation, the man in his 30s was detained and taken to Ballymun Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
An apartment was subsequently searched and a number of items, including mobile phones and a computer, were seized.
It follows a number of suspected people smuggling incidents at Dublin Airport in April and May this year.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
