€8,500 in cash, three mobile phones and designer clothing have been seized in Tallaght as part of an investigation into suspected money laundering.
The items were recovered this morning after a house was searched in the Castletymon area
A man in his 50s was arrested following the searches.
He's being held at Tallaght Garda Station on suspicion of money laundering.
The operation was led by Gardaí from the ‘M’ District Drugs Unit assisted by local Detectives, Community Policing and Regular Units supported by the Garda Armed Support Unit.
The operation was carried out as part of an ongoing investigations into suspected Money Laundering and follows the seizure of €49,000 cash in the Tallaght area on August 31st 2020.
