A man in his 20s has been arrested by gardai investigating a shooting in Clondalkin earlier this week.
Shots were fired at a car which had two adults and a number of children inside.
The windows were shattered when shots were fired at a car stopped at traffic lights at the junction of Oak Road and Nangor Road at approximately 9.45 on Monday morning.
The front seat passengers - a woman and man in their 30s - were treated for non-life threatening injuries at St James Hospital.
A number of children who were in the back were not physically harmed.
It's understood a car involved in the incident fled the scene.
Following a search and arrest operation in the south east of the city this morning, a man in his 20s was arrested.
He's currently detained at Clondalkin Garda Station where he can be held for up to 72 hours.
