A man in his 20s has been arrested following a number of attempted robberies in south-east Dublin.
Staff at a service station on the Clonkeen Road were threatened with a knife after a man entered the shop shortly at about 11.15 last Tuesday night, 28th November.
Shortly after, another person entered a pharmacy on Foxrock Avenue and threatened staff at knifepoint.
The assailant left empty-handed in both instances.
An operation was carried out by detectives from Cabinteely today, resulting in the arrest.
The man is currently being questioned at a garda station in the Dublin region, where he must be charged or released within 24 hours.
