A man in his 30s has appeared in court charged in relation to the sexual assault and false imprisonment of two women on the same day in 2016.
Philip Murphy, of no fixed abode in Dublin 8, appeared in court after being extradited from the UK.
Addressing Dublin District Court, Detective Garda Emma Ryan said 39 year old Philip Murphy was arrested at Casement Aerodrome yesterday morning on foot of six outstanding warrants.
He was then brought to Store Street Garda Station where was charged with sexual assault, false imprisonment and threats to kill against two women on separate streets in Dublin 1 on February 25th 2016.
The court heard Mr Murphy, who wore a striped jumper and blue jeans made no reply when charged, while he remained silent throughout his appearance.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on the 16th June.
