The Luke Kelly statue in the north inner city has been vandalised for the seventh time.
The Guild Street tribute to the late Dubliner's singer had blue paint sprayed across it yesterday evening.

It's the latest in a series of incidents where paint has been thrown on the marble head, that was only unveiled last year.
It has led to calls for the statue to be moved or for railings to be erected around it.
Gardaí say they are investigating criminal damage to the bust.
No-one has been arrested and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Store Street Garda Station.
Local reaction
Mark Fay from the North Wall Community Association says locals are fed up;
"The reaction is anger, it's frustration, at the same time it's not unexpected. This has been well flagged, well publicised and just reading the papers this morning thankfully it hasn't made the front page like it usually does but it's in the papers none the less."
Dublin city council statement
The city council says serious consideration will be given to alternative ways of protecting the artwork in light of the most recent attack.
In a statement it said removing the statue temporarily, permanently or finding an alternative site can't be ruled out.
