ARABELLA ARRIVES AT THE VILLA AND SETS PULSES RACING
While the Islanders sleep, new girl Arabella makes her entrance. Heading to the garden, Arabella lays down on one of the sun loungers and soaks up the Spanish sun.
The Islanders begin to wake and Curtis heads to the kitchen for his morning coffee. It isn’t long before he notices Arabella.
After meeting the new girl for the first time, Curtis is left stunned and heads inside to inform the other Islanders of the surprise new arrival.
Anton isn’t prepared to introduce himself until he has got himself preened to perfection. Anton says “I need to wash my face!”
Anna reflects in the Beach Hut on Arabella’s arrival, she says “She is such a gorgeous girl. She’s so tall. What you see on the runway. I was still in my PJs half asleep!”
Anton meets Arabella for the first time and is determined to play it cool and impress her.
The girls give Arabella a tour of the villa, she heads upstairs and meets Lucie for the first time. Lucie says “I recognise you! You’re my ex’s ex. I’ve stalked you [on social media] before!”
But it’s not just the boys that are blown away by Arabella. In the Beach Hut, Maura says “Banging body. Great hair. More competition for Maura!”
The girls want to know who Arabella has got her eye on but it looks like she is keeping her cards close to her chest. Arabella says “There isn’t one boy in here that I would say is unattractive.”
Arabella reflects on her arrival in to the villa.
In the Beach Hut, she says “I feel like they’ve warmed to me really well. Obviously, I’m going to have to tread on toes and I want to find love. That’s the goal.
ARABELLA CHOOSES DANNY AND ANTON FOR DATES
As the Islanders relax on the day beds, Arabella receives a text “Arabella. Today you will be going on two dates. Please now choose your first date and ask him out. #girlpower #doubletrouble #playthefield”
Arabella turns to Danny and says “Danny, would you like to go on a date?”
Danny says “Yeah. Let’s do it.”
Arabella and Danny arrive at their date and Danny says “You strike me as a confident girl.”
Arabella says “I’m confident in certain situations but I’m also quite shy.”
Danny says “What is your usual type?”
Arabella replies “I feel like all my exes are different. It’s more about a connection.”
“I feel like me and you are quite similar", Danny says.
Danny reveals that he is 21 and Arabella who is 28 says “I would normally say 23 is my cut off point but I feel like you’re quite mature.”
“Are you going to make an exception? One of the things I was looking for when I came in was definitely someone older", Danny asks.
Conversation soon shifts to Danny’s coupling with Yewande. Danny says “I feel like I’m putting a lot of the effort in and I’m not getting anything back and I’m starting to question whether we’re compatible. When you said you wanted to take me on a date, I was really excited.”
It’s clear that Arabella and Danny have lots in common but will sparks be flying on Arabella’s next date. Back at the villa, Anton receives a text “Anton. Arabella has picked you for a date. Please get ready to leave the villa.”
Unlucky-in-love Anton is ecstatic that Arabella has chosen him. In the Beach Hut, he says “It’s my time! I’m ready to go again.”
Anton heads out of the villa and arrives at his date with Arabella.
Arabella says “I’m going to be honest, you’re a lot better looking in real life. You’ve got a great tan.”
Anton says “It’s nice to go on a date with such a beautiful girl.”
Arabella and Anton talk about their childhood. Anton says “When I was at school, believe it or not, I was slightly overweight. I wouldn’t take my top off when I went swimming. Now, you can’t get me to keep my top on!”
Arabella is keen to hear about Anton’s grooming regime and how his Mum is always on hand to keep his bum clean shaven.
Anton asks whether Arabella would like to take over this role from his Mum. Arabella says “Definitely not!”
The date draws to a close and Arabella and Anton head back to the villa. But which of the boys has impressed the new girl?
IS IT THE END FOR YEWANDE AND DANNY?
After Arabella asked Danny to go on a date, Yewande is trying to play it cool. Speaking with Amber, Anna and Amy on the bean bags, she says “If he goes on this date and he gets on with her then that’s absolutely fine. I’ve emotionally prepared myself for that to happen because in my head I already knew it was going to happen. I have zero trust in men!”
While Danny is on his date, Yewande seeks advice from Michael on the day beds. Michael says “It’s been twelve days and he’s just been grafting really hard.”
Michael adds “He’s been putting a lot of effort in and he feels like he is getting nothing back. He feels like he is taking one step forward and two steps back.”
As Danny arrives back from his date, he immediately has a debrief with the boys about his date. Yewande is disappointed that Danny hasn’t approached her first. In the Beach Hut, she says “It’s just rude. If I went on a date and came back, I would say something. Obviously, he didn’t feel like that was very important.”
Speaking with the boys, Danny says “I need to figure out if me and Yewande are that compatible. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a really good date [with Arabella].”
However, Danny is keen to reaffirm that him and Yewande were having problems prior to Arabella’s arrival. He says to the boys “Even if she [Arabella] didn’t come in, me and Yewande still needed to talk.”
The other Islanders feel that Yewande needs to step up her game and make more of an effort with Danny if she does really like him.
That evening, Amber says “That girl [Arabella] is going to take your man if you don’t buck your ideas up!”
Amber and Curtis then partake in some roleplay pretending to be Danny and Yewande in a bid to teach Yewande how to woo Danny.
Shortly after, Yewande asks Danny for a chat but will she be able to say how she feels and save her and Danny’s romance?
ANOTHER BOY CATCHES MAURA’S EYE
Last night, single girl Maura expressed that she wasn’t necessarily feeling a connection with Tom, who has made it clear he fancies her. However, it looks as if she has got eyes for someone else. But considering the drama currently gripping the villa, she may have to join a queue.
Speaking with Molly-Mae and Lucie on the terrace, Maura says “It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Yewande and Danny. He is a really nice guy. I have such a laugh with Danny. He has got good craic.”
Molly-Mae and Lucie catch on that Maura could be catching feelings for Danny. Maura then says “When I went on a date with him, I felt nothing. But he just wants a bit of affection. He’s getting nothing. We may as well crack on.”
Maura later reflects in the Beach Hut, she says “Danny has definitely grown on me. It’s probably a surprise to everyone. It’s not really a surprise to me because that is how I connect with someone, when I get know them.”
But will Maura tell Danny how she feels? And how will Danny react?
A GAME OF ‘SNOG MARRY AVOID’ REVEALS CURTIS AS MARRIAGE MATERIAL
The girls gather around the fire pit for a game of ‘Snog Marry Avoid’ based on the boys in the villa.
Maura says “I would snog Danny, marry Curtis and avoid Anton but only because of the leg-shaving thing!”
Anna says “Avoid Anton. Marry Curtis, obviously he is my bro now but personality-wise he is perfect husband material. I would snog Jordan after yesterday’s snog!”
Arabella says “I would snog Danny, I would marry Curtis and join the queue! I would avoid Tommy. I feel like I couldn’t trust him.”
Molly-Mae seems taken aback by Arabella’s admission. She says “Because of the turning head thing?”, referring to Tommy previously being torn between Molly-Mae and Maura.
Arabella says “Yeah.”
Molly-Mae is left irritated by Arabella’s comment. In the Beach Hut, she says “It was a little bit of a dig. It’s suggesting that I shouldn’t trust him.”
Love Island continues tonight on Virgin Media Two from 9pm.
