Nearby residents are worried about the increase in flight activity at Dublin Airport's new runway.
The first flight on the 320 million euro landing departed this afternoon.
Planning permission secured fifteen years ago has changed, with flights now allowed during the night.
Michael O'Rourke, from St Margaret's The Ward Resident's Association, says plans changed from the original application.
"We welcome the opening of the runway, it's going to bring huge benefits not alone to Fingal but the country as a whole," O'Rourke said.
"Our problem is the removal of condition 5 - the restriction of night flights. That's now been replaced .. to allow them to fly through the night."
"They went ahead and built it with the restrictions in effect. As soon as they had their money committed."

"We've a whole rural area out here. My great grandparents were in this house. My family lived in this house before Dublin Airport was an airport."
"It's not as easy to turn around and say okay, let's sell and move."
Grants have been given by Dublin Airport to homeowners in the local area to soundproof bedrooms.
However, O'Rourke says it doesn't cover the cost of fully fitting houses to restrict the noise of overnight planes.
