The 39-year-old former soldier, from Dundalk in Co Louth, is also facing a charge of financing terrorism before the Special Criminal Court.
Lisa Smith is accused of being a member of the unlawful terrorist group ISIS or Islamic State on dates between late October 2015 and December 1st 2019.

Her application to have the charges against her dropped was rejected yesterday.
The trial is being heard before three judges of the non-jury Special Criminal Court.
