Kicking off the weekend in true Irish style. Friday will be a another cloudy day, with patches of light rain. It will also be breezy with fresh westerly winds.
Afternoon temperatures hitting 10 or 11 degrees at its peak.
Saturday
Saturday will see rain spreading across the country, with blustery showers following later in the day. The morning is set to be 9 or 10 degrees, but will turn cold in the afternoon and evening.
Saturday afternoon will be windy, with showers of rain, hail and sleet in some places.
Sunday
Sunday will see a windy start to the day, with strong gusts. It will remain dry with sunny spells. Expect chilly temperatures in the afternoon of just 4 to 7 degrees.
Winds will ease on Sunday night, and it's set to turn very cold, with wingspread frost and possible ice on roads.
Next Week
Early indications suggest next week will be another cold and unsettled week. Frosty nights and the occasional wintry shower is also predicted.
