Phoenix Park is the best place in Ireland to have a picnic. That's according to a survey by Keoghs crisps, anyway!
Two in every five Dubs think it's the perfect spot due to its leafy green fields and central location.
As for the rest of Dublin, Ardgillan Castle in Skerries came in second followed by Stephens Green, Newbridge House in Donabate and the Iveagh Gardens.

From a national perspective, Glendalough in Co. Wicklow was the people's second choice for picnicking, followed by Fota Wildlife Park in Cork.
Glendalough was also named the most romantic spot for dining al fresco. Must be something about monks that gets people in the mood...
