There's a mini heatwave on the way. According to Met Eireann, temperatures are set to reach 27 degrees in parts of Ireland this week.
It's understood Thursday and Friday will be the warmest days.

Tuesday
There'll be good sunny spells today with the risk of a few showers in the afternoon. Highs of 18 to 21 degrees.
Tonight will be mainly dry with clear spells. Lows of 10 or 11 degrees.
Wednesday
Tomorrow will be mainly sunny with some patchy cloud. Highs of 18 to 20 degrees.
Wednesday night will be largely dry with the odd shower. Temperatures will range between 11-15 degrees.
National Forecast
Thursday
Mostly dry and sunny. Feeling very warm and humid with maximum temperatures of 22 to 27 degrees. It will be a few degrees less warm near northern and eastern coasts.
There is a risk of a shower or thunderstorm in the southwest. Light to moderate breezes will be fresh at times along the south coast.
A muggy night will follower with lows of 13 to 17 degrees.
Friday
Another warm and sunny day with highs of 20 to 27 degrees. However, cloud will increase in the west and southwest, with patchy rain or drizzle developing there during the morning.
There's a slight chance that thundery downpours could develop in these areas later in the day.
Winds will be light to moderate southeasterly. Cloud will gradually increase countrywide on Friday evening and night with outbreaks of rain spreading eastwards.
Another warm and humid night will follow with temperatures no lower than 13 to 17 degrees.
Saturday
Met Eireann says current indications suggest that there'll be heavy and thundery rain over the eastern half of the country on Saturday morning.
It will clear into the Irish show by early afternoon. There will be sunny spells and scattered showers mainly in the west and northwest.
Highs of 19 to 25 degrees. It will be coolest in the coastal fringes of the west and south west.

Cooler than previous says with sunny spells and scattered showers - heaviest in the west and northwest. Highs of 16 to 20 degrees.
