Men are from Dunnes and Women are from Tesco.
That appears to be the finding of a new survey which shows a gender gap in Irish shopping habits.
It shows near 20 per cent of male shoppers do their main shop in Dunnes, compared to just 11 per cent of women.
The report for Checkout Magazine by Ignite Research asked one thousand shoppers where they do their "big shop" and found one in three Irish shoppers does it in Tesco.
Discount chain Aldi was next in popularity with 23 per cent.
Meanwhile 16 per cent shopped at Lidl, 15 per cent at Dunnes and 11 per cent at SuperValu.
