The mild and sunny weather is set to come to an end over the coming days.
Temperatures in some parts of the country hit 17 degrees this week. However, stormy weather could be in store on Saturday.
According to Met Eireann, it will turn a lot cooler and more unsettled this weekend.
The forecaster states: "Turning more unsettled and a lot cooler too, with a return to more near normal maxima."
National Outlook
Friday
Friday morning will start cool. Overnight frost and local fog will clear and it will stay dry across most of the eastern half of the country.
Elsewhere, it will be dull with outbreaks of rain turning persistent and spreading eastwards before nightfall. Afternoon highs will range 10 to 13 degrees.
There will be more rain overnight with lows of 4 to 7 degrees Celsius.
Saturday
Windy or possibly stormy with some severe gusts. There will be some sunshine and scattered showers, mainly in Atlantic counties. Highs of 8 to 10 degrees and strong to gale force winds.
Saturday night will be cold and calm with some frost, mist and fog in parts. Lows of 1 to 4 degrees.
Sunday
Sunday will be drier and calmer with sunny spells. The west and northwest will experience some passing showers. There will be rain in southern counties later on.
Feeling cool with highs of 8 or 9 degrees.
