Met Eireann has issued a Snow-Ice warning for the whole country.
This week will be very cold with scattered wintry showers and some snow expected.
"Very cold this week with scattered wintry showers, frequent across the southwest, west and north. Some snow is expected. There will be widespread frost at night with icy stretches on untreated surfaces.
There is the possibility of a more significant spell of sleet/snow on Thursday."
The warning is in place from Tuesday at 6am until Saturday at 6pm.

Tuesday
Tuesday will be cold with outbreaks of rain, sleet and possibly snow clearing to scattered wintry showers and sunny spells. Highs of 3 or 4 degrees.
Tomorrow night will be very cold with wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow in parts. There will be widespread sharp or severe frost and icy patches.
Lowest temperatures -3 to 1 degrees.
Wednesday
Wednesday will start cold with some wintry showers. However, the afternoon is expected to be dry with sunny spells. Highs of 3-7 degrees.
Severe frost and icy patches will develop on Wednesday night.
Thursday
The forecast for Thursday is uncertain at the moment. Met Eireann says current indications suggest a band of rain will turn into snow. It will be very cold with temperatures of just 3-6 degrees. Frost and ice will develop on Thursday night with some wintry showers.
