It looks like the wait is almost over for Irish Pokémon Go fans. According to The Wall Street Journal, the record breaking app will be rolled out in Europe and Asia "within a few days".
The new smartphone game - which uses augmented reality, GPS and time - lets fans chase Pokémon through real life city streets.
This means Pokémon appear as you move around depending on where you are and what time it is.
Pokémon Go has turned into an unexpected phenomenon after being downloaded by over 5% of all Android users in the US, making it more popular than Tinder and almost as popular as Twitter.
The servers supporting the app had been experiencing some difficulty with the high demand in users so it was previously reported that there would be a delay with Pokémon Go coming to Europe.
Thank you for your patience. We have been working to fix the server issues. We will continue rolling out #PokemonGO to new countries soon.

However it seems a “comfortable” point may have been reached.
Meanwhile, even though we technically don't have access to the app yet, some sneaky Irish users have been using it after tricking the Google Play Store into thinking they're in a different location.
