A musical featuring songs from stars like Diana Ross, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder is coming to Ireland.
Motown the Musical will take up residence at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin next February, telling the story behind the classic Motown hits.
Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown, discovered stars including Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5 and more.
Adam Spiegel, who produced the show, said "that is an extraordinary group of people to come from one city, Detroit, and to be discovered by one man".
The production features a live orchestra playing 50 Motown tracks including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’ll Be There, Dancing In The Street, Stop! In The Name Of Love, My Girl and I Heard It through the Grapevine.
