McDonald's is expanding its delivery service in Ireland. Just Eat has partnered with the US fast-food chain to offer a delivery service here and in the UK.
The food ordering app says the McDelivery partnership will be implemented in 2020.
UberEats has offered McDonald's delivery here from participating restaurants since 2018.
Peter Duffy, Just Eat’s Interim CEO, said:
“We are delighted to announce that we have agreed to partner in the UK and Ireland with McDonald’s.
"This partnership, along with our recently announced relationship with Greggs, will require significant investment but will accelerate our growth ambitions and enhance our market position by offering our customers the widest choice available.”
Just Eat has over 2,100 takeaway restaurants online in Ireland.
The company says the Just Eat app was downloaded over two million times since it was launched in Ireland five years ago
