The first ever iPhone was released this day 8 years ago. It was a basic enough model, which featured quad-band GSM cellular connectivity with GPRS and EDGE support for data transfer.
It wasn't until the following June until it's successor with 3G was released. The iPhone was the brainchild of the late Steve Jobs and now is on it's 10th version.
