Highs Of 24 Degrees Forecast Today

Today is set to be a scorcher! According to Met Eireann, there could be highs of 24 degrees in parts. 

The forecaster says Monday will be warm and dry with sunny spells with temperatures reaching 20-24 degrees in Dublin. 

A few showers will develop this afternoon and evening in the midlands, south and west.

"Maximum temperatures 20 to 24 degrees inland, in light variable breezes, but a little cooler along coasts in sea breezes", Met Eireann added.

Tomorrow will also be a warm and sunny day, after any mist and fog clears in the morning. Highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees in the capital.

Meanwhile, heavy and thundery showers are expected to develop in parts of Munster tomorrow evening. There'll be maximum temperatures 20 to 26 degrees on Tuesday. It will be warmest in the western half of the country. 

Tonight will be dry and clear, with some mist and fog developing. Lows of 10-13 degrees. 

Here's the national outlook for the rest of the week: 

Wednesday - Mostly dry and sunny. There could be a few showers in the afternoon. Highs of 19-23 degrees.

Thursday - Cloudy with some heavy showers. A few may be thundery. It will be warmest in the south. Highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees.

Friday - Sunny spells and scattered showrs. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in Connacht and west Ulster and from 20 to 24 degrees to the east and south. 

Next weekend - It looks like the weekend will be mainly dry apart from a few showers on Saturday with temperatuers ranging from the high teens to low 20s.
