Keyboard chatter is huge in Ireland and HB has revealed some of the terms taking the country by storm.
According to their latest survey, a third of young Irish adults admit to chatting through social media channels over 20 times a day.
Research shows Dublin, Connacht and Ulster are set to scream ‘YAAAAASSSSSSS’ this summer (10%) whilst Munster are ‘Not Able’ (12%). Here in Leinster we’re all about the ‘Vibes’ (11%).
What about those terms we love to hate? Nom Noms tops the leader board for most annoying social media term in Leinster with 38% opting for ‘not able’, whilst nationally 7 in 10 claim that 'Bae' is the most annoying term. This is closely followed nationally by fleek and holibobs.
To celebrate, HB is reclaiming Bae this season with #HBaeoclock; a series of flash ice cream giveaways celebrating Ireland’s most prevalent social terms where they’ll be giving away your favourite tasty treats all summer long.
