Storm Brendan may have passed, however, there's heavy rain and sleet forecast for Dublin later today.
According to Met Eireann, cloudy conditions with rain with developing later this morning.
The rain will turn heavy and persistent in the afternoon with a risk of thunder. The forecaster says there will be some sleet also and risk of hill snow.
It will become clear and dry in the early evening with highs of 5 or 6 degrees today.
Tonight will be mainly dry with clear spells. There may be a few isolated showers. Minimum temperatures of 2 or 3 degrees.
Wednesday
Tomorrow, Wednesday is expected to be a dry and bright day with sunny spells. There is still a chance of some showers.
Another cold day with highs of 7 or 8 degrees.
National Outlook
Met Eireann says it will be unsettled at first, but current indications suggest that the weather will become more settled over the weekend and for the early days of next week, as high pressure dominates.
Quite mild on Thursday, but temperatures will be below normal from Friday to Sunday, with a risk of frost at night.
