It's time to spoil your Ma! Do NOT turn up at your parents' gaff on Sunday "with one arm as long as the other" - to borrow a favourite mammy phrase. You can't go wrong with a voucher for your local nail salon, or a lovely massage at your nearest spa. But for those of you who want to be able to present a wrapped gift, check out these bits and pieces that can be easily tracked down before Sunday's deadline!

Newbridge Silverware has come up with this very Alex + Ani type triple-bangle bracelet under their Ti:Amo range. You can personalise it with different glass-coloured birthstones. Above is March's aquamarine version. It costs €40 and you can find your nearest stockist here. It's worth calling the store before you go. Not everywhere stocks this collection.

If in doubt, buy something that allows your mum to pamper herself. Maybe don't bother with products she already has, and is likely to purchase for herself. This Clarins concentrate turns your regular old shower into feeling like you're at a spa. It's widely available at chemists around the country and costs €21. The Pestle and Mortar serum isn't specifically aimed at wrinkles, but has a lovely plumping effect. The brand is by Kildare-based Sonia Deasy and costs €43. Click here to find your nearest stockist. Very often, face masques are a luxurious extra you can't afford. That's why they make a lovely present, and this one by Kiehl's is positively sumptuous. It's €34 and available from its stores and concessions on Wicklow Street, Arnotts, Dundrum TC and Dublin Airport.

Perhaps scented candles are an obvious choice, but again, they make a great present. Most of the time, they're a little luxury you can't justify buying for yourself. You can get them almost anywhere - even in Penneys - but this one by Enniskerry company Max Benjamin gives very good sniffs. It's also available in diffuser form. It'll set you back €22 and you can find your local stockist here.

Show us a mammy who doesn't love a personalised-picture present and we'll show you a tenner. This frame costs €35 from Marks and Spencer and has space for 9 photos. Get down to your local pharmacy and run off a few shots of you and your family. Picture perfect!

Not all moms are into flowers. For those who love them, it might be nice to give them a gorgeous piece of design in the form of a quirky vase. This 'pinched waist' one is €19.95 and available from Article in the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre on South William Street. You can't present it without some blooms, though. Aldi is doing some mega deals - these tulips cost just under 6 quid.

We love this Mulberry-inspired wallet from Marks and Spencer. Its €47 but with 100% leather, it looks and feels far more expensive. There's also loads of space for coins, notes and cards. Cash-tastic!

We couldn't resist these quirky tea-towels from Designist on George's Street. They're a tenner each but by jebus you'd better not give these to your mam without including something else from this list. They can't be proffered in isolation. That would be just some sort of cruel joke!

Books are almost always a fail-safe option. About Face by the Irish Times' Aisling McDermott and Laura Kennedy combines a good read with friendly and comprehensive information about skincare and beauty. No bullshit here, just sound advice - and all in an Irish context. It feels more genuine when it's not coming from magazine behemoths or big-name brands, no? Marian Keyes' new book is a collection of her most loved magazine columns, blog posts and previously unpublished bits. Keyes is the master of Hiberno-English and this book had us in stitches. Your mum will love it.
