The Dublin Chinese New Year Festival 2019 kicks off this week celebrating the Year of the Pig.
A Dublin City Council initiative, the festival aims to develop and showcase the best of Sino-Hibernian culture in Ireland.
The festivies will take place from Friday until 17 February.
There are a wealth of food related events to explore and enjoy including:
Lunar Feasts
For the second year, DCNYF is partnering with Carrolls Irish Gifts to highlight Dublin’s finest Chinese restaurants. A range of eateries on Parnell Street and Capel Street will offer special dishes in honour of Chinese New Year.
Dumpling Day

The event includes dumpling making, dumpling cooking and dumpling tasting galore in store all day.
Chinese New Year Food Extravaganza

A good and drinks tasting extravaganza, explore the full flavour of an authentic Asian market during the Chinese New Year.
PIG @ Duck

HK Roast Meat Master at Duck has created a special Pig themed banquet for you and your friends with a traditional HK Style Suckling Pig.
Shop & Cook with Kwanghi Chan
