Big changes are coming to Facebook. According to Buzzfeed, Ticketmaster will soon start selling event tickets directly on the social network.
It follows research which found that consumers spend a large portion of their time on particular apps whilst on the smartphones.
Dan Armstrong, Ticketmaster’s vice president and general manager of distributed commerce, told BuzzFeed.
“By putting the ability to buy tickets directly within Facebook, we hope that we’re going to provide a more seamless purchase experience and sell more tickets.”
It's also reported tickets purchased on Facebook must be “claimed” via TIcketmaster’s website and app.
It's not known when the new feature will be rolled out in Ireland.
