Calling all dumpling lovers! A Dublin shop is hosting a 'Dumpling Day' next month.
The free event takes place in Asia Market on Drury Street on Friday February 1st from 11am-6pm.
There will be a dumpling tasting experience featuring:
- Kimchi filled dumplings from Korea
- Chicken and Vegetable Gyoza from Japan
- Pork and Chinese Chive dumplings from China and many more.
Attendees will also how to wrap and make their own traditional savoury dumplings with live demos throughout the day.
If you can't make it to Asia Market on the 1st, The Vintage Teapot is hosting a Dumpling making Workshop on February 3rd.
The Dublin Chinese New Year Festival
'Dumpling Day' is part of the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival.
Speaking about 'Dumpling Day', organisers said: "The tradition in China during the Chinese New Year is to make dumplings with all the family, from the very young to the very old and everyone gets stuck in."
The Dublin Chinese New Year Festival runs from February 1st-16th in various locations across the city to welcome the Year of the Pig.
The festival will feature art exhibitions, concerts, workshops and more.
