A Dublin salon has started offering 'silent appointments' to customers.
Hive Beauty Salon in Castleknock rolled out the initiative this week.

Taking to Instagram, the salon said while the service is not for eveyone, it is available to those who need it.
"Mental health is so important and coming into a salon can be very daunting for some people.
"If you are stressed, feeling anxious and you are just someone who needs to relax for an hour and not have to worry about the pressure of conversation, there will be no judgement from any member of our team if you request a silent appointment."
