New reopening guidelines
Pubs across Ireland can reopen on 29th June, but only if they follow new guidelines.
The Government outlined yesterday that pubs must serve a 'substantial meal costing at least €9.'
Lots of our favourite spots offer a full menu.
However, this new rule impacts establishments that don't have kitchens or chefs.
So, one Dublin pub decided to take a hilarious stance on social media.
Lloyd's Bar & Lounge on Amiens Street took to Facebook to make the following announcement:
'Folks we are really sorry to inform you, but due to further government guidelines issued today on the reopening of pubs, we have had to take the following decisions.'
'Our finest Manhattan Salted Peanuts will increase to a price of €9.00 per packet.'
The update continued, 'Our finest Manhattan Roasted Nuts will increase to a price of €9.50 per packet.'
'We will also see price increase in the price of our Cheese & Onion Crisps to €10.00 per packet.'
'We are sorry for any difficulties this may cause our customers and ask that you stick with us through these difficult times.'
You've got to love a trier!
