Liberties residents are taking to the streets today calling on the Government to tighten control on developers.
A number of campaigns from across Dublin 8 are joining together in a march from Player Wills to the Iveagh Markets calling on the government to protect their community.
People Before Profit Councillor Tina MacVeigh says residents in the Liberties see their neighbourhoods chainging almost daily -- with green space vanishing before their eyes.
"We need housing, we need green spaces and parks, we need sports facilities, we need community facilities, and that is what today is about," she said. "It's about all of these various campaign groups coming together and starting to make the connections between all of their campaigns and the kind of neighbourhoods we want."
