Laois GAA has confirmed that Mike Quirke will be put forward for ratification as their new football manager at their next county board meeting.

The four-time All-Ireland winner has yet to finalise his backroom team and will succeed fellow Kerry man John Sugrue.

Laois will play in Division Two of the League next season after securing back-to-back promotions during Sugrue's tenure.

Eddie Brennan will stay on as the O'Moore's hurling manager after steering them to Joe McDonagh Cup success in his first season in charge.

Brennan's backroom team of Niall Corcoran (coach), Dave Moriarty (strength and conditioning) and Fran Dowling and Tommy Fitzgerald (selectors).

Former Waterford boss Derek McGrath will be hurling coach to Laois' minors for the 2020 campaign with Liam Dunne as manager.

Tim Fahey will work as strength and conditioning coach in Dunne's backroom team with Ollie Quinlan a selector.

Enda Lyons, who was in charge of the minor side last season, has taken over the county's under-20s.

Laois are still searching for minor and under-20 football managers for next year.
