Residents of an apartment block in Dublin City have slammed authorities for allowing them to live in "third world" conditions.
The families living in Killarney Court in Dublin 1 have been left without running water or shower facilities for nearly a week.
A number of leaks have been discovered throughout the 106 apartment complex, and residents have had to go without bathing for days.
Frances Barber lives in the block and says it's like living in the old tenements.
"We have bottles of water everywhere in the house trying to fill up the cistern so we can flush the toilet.
"I just want to have a shower, wash my clothes and cook a bit of dinner."
Fellow resident Kathleen says it's the oldest people who are being hit the hardest by the outages.
"Some of the have homecarers to help get washed and get dressed in the morning. How are they doing that?
"There's people in wheelchairs, people on oxygen, how are they supposed to manage without water."
Jo Whittall is the Executive Director of Property Services at Clúid Housing.
He says crews are working around the clock to ensure water is restored the residents.
"We're trying other techniques to get some of the facilities up and running by bypassing the pipework that we think is the problem.
"We're just so desperate to get it done as quickly as possible and return Killarney Court to a comfortable place to live again."
