A jury’s heard a Tallaght man on trial for murdering a homeless man with cerebral palsy, allegedly told a friend he always had an urge to kill someone.
20 year old Philip Dunbar of Glenshane Drive denies murdering Adam Muldoon in a park in Jobstown in June 2018.
This witness – who can’t be name for legal reasons - has spent two days giving evidence.
He’s previously said the accused Philip Dunbar called to his house saying he had stabbed 23 year old Adam Muldoon and was boasting about it.
Today he told the jury he had been broken crying about what happened the next day.
‘I was crying like a new-born baby’ he said ‘ I couldn’t believe what I was after experiencing - I was very upset to think someone could do that to Adam.
He described the situation as a nightmare.
The jury also heard this witness told gardai a few days later - the accused had said after the stabbing ‘Now I know what it feel like to be a murderer’ and he always had an urge to kill someone.
Adam Muldoon – who was homeless and had cerebral palsy - was found in a park in Jobstown in June 2018 having been stabbed 183 times.
Philip Dunbar has pleaded not guilty to his murder.
