John OÂ’Shea will miss the Republic of IrelandÂ’s next World Cup qualifier against Germany in Cologne on Saturday October 12th.
The influential centre half picked up his second yellow card of the competition with a booking in the 44th minute against Austria in Vienna.
Skipper Robbie Keane was also yellow carded after the half time whistle for dissent.
