The curtains are set to close tonight on the first weekend of Garth Brooks' mania.

Croke Park will host five concerts in total from the country music star.

Nearly 400,000 people are expected to attend the run of gigs which ends next Saturday.

Despite the cancellations in 2014, this run of concerts seems to be going off without a hitch.

A man who's very involved with bringing Garth to Dublin is Peter Aiken of Aiken promotions.

He says the five-night run has had a positive impact across the country.

"I think something like Garth resonates not only in Dublin, it resonates throughout the whole of Ireland."

"It does create tremendous goodwill. You can see it in the audience, you can see it around the city."

"Dublin is an international city. It needs more and more big events. They create so much goodwill and good feelings around the place."

Plenty of videos have been circulated online of the concerts at Croke Park.

At times, Garth Brooks is seen to get emotional when he performs in front of the Irish crowd.

Aiken says the noise of the Irish fans at GAA HQ is unparalleled.

"From kids of 16 up to 80, it's unbelievable the way they respond to them and sing along."

"We have a thing about sound levels that we have to keep in with."

"The problem is - the audience is breaking it every night. I've never seen that at a concert before."
