More than 5 million doses of a Covid-19 vaccine have now been administered in the Republic.
Over 60 percent of adults are now fully vaccinated.
While 75 percent of adults have had at least 1 vaccine dose.
Chair of the vaccine task force, Professor Brian MacCraith, says it's a 'very significant day':
"Over the past number of weeks we've been hitting typically around 340k or 350k doses per week."
"Well over 50,000 a day across four days in every seven."
"So it's really been ramping up again and again over recent weeks."

Meanwhile, 25 to 29 year olds can register for a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine from today.
The HSE's portal is now open to the cohort.
However, people in this age group can still register with a pharmacy for a Janssen vaccine.
Registration can be done online or over the phone, with appointments to be arranged in the coming weeks.
