An investigation has begun after a man's body was found at the side of a road in county Meath overnight.
The road is currently closed for examinations to take place.
A man was found unconscious on the N51 at Harmanstown near Slane, at around 2:50 this morning.
His age is unknown but he had been travelling on an electric scooter from Slane.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
While Gardaí are treating it as a traffic collision.
While any witnesses or people who were in the area at the time with dashcam footage are being asked to contact Gardaí in Navan.
The N51 at Harmanstown remains closed for technical examinations to take place and diversions are in place.
