Homeless Campaigner Anthony Flynn has been elected to the North Inner City.
Two thirds of the seats on Dublin City Council have been filled with the Green Party still taking the lead.
Anthony Flynn says a change in politics is badly needed in the area.
He said: 'I'm born and bread in the area all my life.
'The constituency has a lot going on. There's a lot going on in regard to gang land crime.
'A lot going on in regard to litter.
'And housing the homeless is something that's been on the agenda for a very long time.
'We need to be hammering that home.'
