Four people have been arrested and a gun seized following a number of searches in Finglas.
Following the search of a number of houses, one man in his twenties was arrested for firearms offences relating to an incident in January.
During the search of another house, a firearm was recovered.
One man in his 30s and two women in their 20s were arrested at this property.
All four are currently detained at Finglas and Blanchardstown Garda Stations.
A Garda Spokesperson says: "Gardaí have arrested four individuals following a number of searches in Finglas West, Co. Dublin this morning, 26th May 2022.
"Following searches by Finglas Gardaí at a number of houses, one man in his 20s was arrested under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939, for Firearm Offences which relate to an incident which occurred in January 2022.
"During the search of another house, a firearm was recovered. One man (30s) and two women (20s) were arrested at this premises under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939, for Firearm Offences.
"All four arrested are currently detained at Finglas and Blanchardstown Garda Station.
"Investigations are ongoing."
