The Griffith Avenue Mile is making a return to Dublin for the first time since 1983.
Runners will be racing a mile along the length of Griffith Avenue, starting at the Swords Road end from 3pm.
Former 5,000 metres World Champion, Eamonn Coughlan is to be the guest of honour.

Chair of Marino Athletic Club, Fionnuala Keane says all the family can take part.
"We have two groups of runners... a fast adult-only race that starts at 3pm and then straight afterwards we'll have a family fun run who'd just like to run down Griffith Avenue but isn't too worried about their time," she said.
