The George Nkencho Coalition is calling for an independent inquiry into the death of the 27 year old.
He died in December after being shot by gardai near his home in West Dublin.
The family and supporters have asked the Minister for Justice to launch an independent public inquiry, separate to the GSOC investigation.

The group has criticised the pace of that investigation, and says justice delayed is justice denied.
They say: "A public inquiry would offer insights into the current process and determine if additional measures should have been deployed in George Nkencho's tragic situation.
"The process would also help determine what additional measures may need to be introduced to allow for a more thorough process to de-escalate a similar situation."
