Gardai have noted a significant fall in crime during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rates of shoplifting and burglaries are down while there has been a spike in fraudulent activity.
From March until the end of May, more than 2,000 burglaries were reported.
However this is down 44% when compared to the same period last year.
