A man in his 20s has been arrested after a loaded gun and drugs were seized in Dublin.
Following a number of burglaries on Merchants Road in East Wall this month and in March, a house was searched by detectives in Dublin at 7.30am yesterday morning.
A loaded Beretta semi automatic pistol with six rounds of ammunition, more than €44,000 worth of cannabis herb and Diazepam tablets with a street value of €4,234 were seized.
Also confiscated were over 250 pouches of tobacco and exhibits in relation to the burglaries.
One man was arrested and taken to Store Street Garda Station where he is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1996.
The man remains in custody and investigations are ongoing.
