For the second night in a row, Gardaí have investigated reports of shots being fired in a Dublin suburb.
Officers were called to the Bluebell area at around 10.30pm last night.
"Gardaí attended the scene and after a thorough search nothing was found" according to a statement.
A similar incident was reported on Tuesday night.
Officers received reports of shots being fired in Bluebell at approximately 11.30pm.
A search was carried out by Gardaí but there was no damage to property and no one was injured.
Sinn Féin Dublin City Councillor, Daithí Doolan, chair of the Joint Policing Committee, said;
"There has been a second night of gun fire in Bluebell. Residents are terrified that innocent people will be injured or killed. Those involved are holding the whole community to ransom. This is unacceptable. We need a rapid and adequate Garda response."
