Gardaí Called To Scene Of Alleged Assault On Coolock Bus

An investigation's under way into an alleged assault on a bus in Dublin last night.

The incident was captured on a video, which is being shared on social media, and it shows a person being punched.

Gardai say they responded to a public order incident on a 27 Dublin bus at the Priorswood Road in Coolock last night

It happened shortly before 10pm.

Dublin Bus says the driver contacted Central Control straight away to raise the alarm.

Nobody has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Gardaí And Dublin Bus Respond

A spokesperson for the Gardaí confirmed that officers attended the scene at around 21:45 last night.

Meanwhile nobody has been arrested in connection with the incident but the investigations are ongoing.

While the Dublin Bus spokesperson said:

"Each vehicle is equipped with a radio which allows immediate contact to our Central Control Centre."

"This means that the driver has immediate contact to a team of Dublin Bus Inspectors should assistance be required in any given situation."

"During this incident, the driver followed this procedure."
