Gardai are appealing for anyone who was on the Luas while anti-mask protestors refused to wear masks and told other passengers to remove their face coverings to contact them.

The incident happened on Monday, November 2nd, and was widely shared on social media.

Gardaí at Kevin Street say they're investigating an incident which took place on the Luas Red line on the afternoon of Monday the 2nd November, from the Heuston Station stop to Jervis Street stop.

'Unruly'

They say a group of individuals travelled on the Luas at around 4.30pm, wearing no face coverings and engaged in unruly and offensive behaviour towards other passengers.

At the time, gardai said they were aware of the incident, and Luas operator Transdev said it had high quality CCTV footage which it had handed over to gardai.

Today gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who travelled on the Luas that afternoon to contact them.
