A new garda transport hub opens at Heuston Station today.
It will be the first time Gardaí will be based on duty in a train station.
It's in a bid to enhance safety on all public transport, including trains, trams and buses.
There won't be any cells, but gardaí will be on hand to respond to any incidents.
A similar centre is to open at Connolly station later in the year.
