Funeral Details Announced For Some Victims of Donegal Blast

One man is continuing to fight for his life in St James’ Hospital, three days after he was injured in an explosion in County Donegal.

Ten people were killed in the disaster in Creeslough, including two teenagers and a five-year-old girl.

The first of the funerals for those killed will be held on Tuesday when Martin McGill who was 49 will be laid to rest.

48-year-old James O’Flaherty’s funeral will take place on Wednesday while the funeral arrangements of the other victims are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, An Post is accepting donations for a special Creeslough Fund at all of its Post Offices nationwide this morning.

Communications Manager with An Post Anna McHugh says the money will provide practical support and services to all those who've been affected by last Friday's tragedy.

Elsewhere, Students will be given essential support by local schools over the next few weeks.

The Department of Education says the well-being of the pupils, staff and whole school community is of paramount importance.

It says the loss of lives of children, young people and parents and the impact, is an enormous tragedy for the local school communities.
